Case Study - K & F Electric Company Office

When it comes to going green, we practice what we preach and are reaping the benefits from our actions:

We replaced the existing 400 watt metal halide warehouse fixtures one-for-one with 6 lamp T8 High Bay fixtures that use 168 watts. These new fixtures have similar light output while consuming less than half of the electricity. In addition, the "instant on" ability of the fluorescent lamps enabled us to utilize motion sensors to turn the lights off when the warehouse is not occupied in order to minimize our energy consumption.

In addition, we installed occupancy sensors in all of our offices to ensure that the lights are turned off when not in use. These actions have led to an overall reduction of our total electric bill by an average of 20% per month.
